The following House Resolution was passed to allow Texas DeMolay to
hold its annual Government Day in Austin 2003.
H.R. No. 64
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Texas DeMolay Association is widely esteemed for its success in
developing leadership and in nurturing good citizenship and patriotism in young men; and
WHEREAS, The Texas DeMolay Association is sponsoring a legislative seminar
to educate its members about state government, both in theory and in practice; and
WHEREAS, This valuable and comprehensive educational program provides participants
from across the state a unique opportunity to experience the legislative process; and
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives heartily endorses the goals and
ideals of the Texas DeMolay Association legislative seminar; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature,
in accordance with the rules and policies of the Committee on House Administration, hereby grant permission to the Texas DeMolay
Association to use the house chamber on February 15 and 16, 2003, provided that the house is not in session.
