Houston Priory, Order of Knighthood

Chevalric Knights of the Holy Order of the Fellow Soldiers of Jacques DeMolay

The "Order of Knighthood" is an appendant organization of older DeMolay's working within the DeMolay framework. The Knighthood program is composed of active DeMolay's between 16 and 21 years of age, who are organized into a subordinate unit known as a "Priory" with its own officers and ceremonies.

The Order of Knighthood is not an honorary degree or award, but rather a working body whose purpose is to extend fellowship and give service to the Order of DeMolay.

The main functions of a Priory are to:

extend and assit the Order of DeMolay and its Chapters
maintain the active interest of older DeMolays in the Order
provide an interesting program for the Priory members, and
provide and maintain the proper example for all DeMolays.

Houston Priory Meets at Holland Masonic Lodge #1390 on the first and third Thursday's of each month. The meetings begin at 7:30 pm.

Dad Jeffrey R. Holder, a Past State Illustrious Knight Commander of the Texas State Priory and an advisor of Houston Chapter, currently is the Priory Advisor for Houston Priory. Dad Michael D.
