The Arrival (96)
11/9/96
Charlie Sheen is a NASA nerd who listens to space using one of those huge satellite dishes. One night he hears something that did not originate on earth. His excitement is tempered when his boss at NASA [Ron Silver] ends up firing him, instead of congratulating him. but Sheen won't give up. He'll track the signal to Mexico where he'll meet an American scientist who's there on her own looking into global warming problems. You end up seeing aliens and some good tree-hugging points are made, but there isn't really anything new here. Crouse is killed by a rare, intelligent species of scorpion.
