Born in Holland and Dutch-registered, accepted into NASFHA in 1991 MacARTHUR is getting on in age, now 21. His limited get has a truely high percentage of champions. MacArthur's get have become star broodmares, they have had undefeated years in dressage, won repeated championships over fences and they are still doing that. And now again winning in hand. But really there were not, are not, that many of them. MacArthur's young horses have great attitudes, conformation and talent. I rode Mac as an amateur years ago and had a blast! MacArthur won some great A/O and modified classes and took me into a few of my first Grand Prixs before we decided to dedicate his efforts on breeding. As a young horse, before he was a jumper, MacArthur was competitive through third level dressage .

His versatile offspring are successful as hunters, jumpers and dressage horses. Most recently - due to the success of one of his three year olds, Mac has received two of the best broodmares he could hope for. His young horses look better than ever. Lumiere de Couer (1999 mare) won The Best Young Horse award at the April, 2002 Kern County Day On the Green. Jambo (1993 gelding) is looking strong in Preliminary jumpers with very little mileage. Could he be faster and more consistent than his mother - Talisman? That is a tall order! (Talisman is breeding back to MacArthur in 2002). Hidden Assets (1994 mare) is a winner in Adult Amateur Jumpers. D'Alme (1991 mare) has won numerous awards in the jumpers and dressage and in 1998 was undefeated at 1st Level. Both Zen Wave (1992 gelding) and MacKenzie (1991 gelding) have been champions in combined training and dressage. High Calling (1989 gelding) won numerous Championships on-the-line. Eye Catcher (1986 mare) has been a Hunter Champion and Regional Reserve Champion at Dressage and now she is designated a star mare in the Dutch registry.

There were others and there are some more comming on! Come on out to the farm and see the young horses we have now.

MacARTHUR shares the conformation, athleticism and character that made ALME so great. Faithfully passing on his natural scope and abilities, MacARTHUR has proven a worthy choice as a sire of hunters, jumpers and dressage horses.
