Robbyn Laufer, OTR/L is the clinical director of Kids-Can, Pediatric Occupational Therapy Services, founded by her in 2000. Robbyn holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia, in Richmond, Virginia. She has worked for over 13 years as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in early intervention, hospital, and private practice settings.
Robbyn has received extensive training in the treatment of children with Sensory Integration Dysfunction and is certified in the administration of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT certified), for the evaluation and diagnosis of children with Sensory Integration Dysfunction.
Robbyn seeks to remain continuously up to date in the most current techniques and treatment approaches developed by experts in the field. She is trained in the use of Samonas Sound Therapy and Therapeutic Listening modalities, The Wilbarger Touch Pressure Protocol for treating sensory defensiveness, The Astronaut Training Program for integration of vision, sound, and movement and various handwriting programs, including Handwriting Without Tears for the remediation of handwriting deficits.
Robbyn provides training workshops for parents, educators, psychologists, and medical professionals who are interested in learning more about sensory integration disorders and their effect on the function of our children, students, and patients.
