Tired of clowns, expensive "Cheesey" Mice, and looking for something different for your kid's party? How
about a "safari"?
Really wrap yourself in a Boa, snuggle up to a Komodo look- alike... and let your kids learn while they
play....

Party on "Safari":
Let your party kids go on a "safari". We'll bring reptiles from all over the world and introduce them one by one to the
children. The birthday child gets to get up close and personal with nearly every reptile. The other kids get to follow along, reptile
by reptile on a paper "scavenger hunt", "winning" a reptile-themed mini goodie bag for locating all the critters
along the way.
The birthday child is a safari leader, wearing a MaxMan Reptile Rescue hat. He or she gets to meet and pet nearly
animal, but that's not all.... all the party kids get to "stretch" one of our large snakes across their arms; a great way
to feel that really amazing snake skin and super strength, and of course, a wonderful photo opportunity! And everyone gets
to meet our large lizards, including Maxima, the Green Iguana and Junkanoo, a Water monitor.
It is a fun, exciting and ~ parents, dare I say it ~ educational party for your kids. One not to be forgotten any time
soon. Take a moment to look beyond the myth of reptiles and let your children explore and enjoy the reality of these amazing
animals!
Stretch out a Snake! (gently, of course)

Is he a Komodo Impersonator?
| July Birthday Party for Dave P. |

| See more about Monitors |
No, not really. Sebastian is a White Throated Monitor - Varanus albigularis. The Komodo Dragon is a Varanus komodensis. Both are Varanid Lizards, making them cousins that look an awful lot alike. Fortunately for
us, the Komodo Dragon is the only Varanid with the lethal bacterial saliva. Sebastian has been known to drool some slimy saliva,
but its harmless, just like him.
Sebastian passed away in 2006, leaving an amazing legacy as an approachable interactive animal who opened the world
of giant reptiles to young children. He is terribly missed and remembered at every party and show we attend.
Like all greats before him, Sebastian opened the door for other giant lizards to have an opportunity to share their amazing
stories with the kids.
Junkanoo is the 'heir apparent' for just such a job. A "long lost cousin", this Water Monitor is a Southeast Asian lizard
who will eventualy match Sebastian in size. Fortunately for us, Junkanoo, has a similar termperment, despite years of abuse
at the hands of his first owners. Junkanoo is friendly and lovable, and a great addition to the MaxMan birthday party crew.

What does Max's Mom have to say?....
" Me...not particularly being fond of snakes- I now have a new respect for them. Sharing
the boa constrictor with everyone was wonderful. I think the way you presented very well what happens to reptiles when they
are bought, then grow up. The comparison of sizes was great - small to Maximus size. ..... The time spent with each animal
was also good."
