The Conversion

Original engine wiring harness to be dissected,  modified, spliced, soldered,
covered,  and rerouted.

The smaller harness under the intake manifold was modified so that the plugs that connect to the main harness exit on the forward driver's side of the
motor.  This was done because the ECU was placed under the cabinet on the driver's side of the van.

The ECU, relays and fuses were placed under the driver's side cabinet to keep them out of the heat and moisture.   This is much better than placing it under the rear seat like the original ECU.   It gives you more usable storage under the seat, and protects it from getting damaged by things shifting under the seat.   A slide out cover was installed to cover the ECU and wiring.
