Welcome to Mathprose, my contribution to the world of teaching and learning, discovering and loving mathematics. Well, besides the other contribution of giving that huge chunk of my existence to my students and their quests, that is.

So, please, come in, sit down. Put your feet up on the furniture. Set down your glass without a coaster. Let all the trappings go and enter my world where close will usually suffice but good enough is never acceptable. Come, we have a number of offerings here.

Mathprose Stories
Here are a some original stories written by a math teacher for math students. They cover a array of topics and a range of grades. Readers will get to know the characters of our world and surely find one or more to relate to as they follow their adventures.

Questions at the end of each story guide you through real world problems, where answers don't always come easy and hardly ever come as integers. Creativity, problem solving, manipulation, and understanding, real mathematical understanding, are emphasized.

Short Attention Span? Short on Time? Then try our Extremely Short Stories. Weighing in at two pages or less (mostly less) they are easily slipped into any class any time. My students answer them for a Get Out of Homework Free Card.

Mathprose Diversions
This portion of the world is not for everyone. Here we offer anything and everything else I might run across or want to delve into. It's worth the look, I think.
