Tony, Robert & Javier go 1, 2 & 3 at Crooked Lake
Determined to make good on his bid to compete for AOY this year, Tony Fortunato kept the pedal to the metal for 3 days
at Crooked Lake. Despite record temps, virtually no clouds or wind, and fishing a strange body of water, quite a few limits
were caught. Big fish were extremely elusive, despite finding cooler springs with depths up to 53 feet. The weekend's biggest
fish was 2.9 pounds, netted by Robert Rodriguez. And true to recent form, Javier Loiz seems to save his best efforts for 3-day
away tournaments, a trend he began at Lake Istakpoga back in April.
A cookout, followed by a brief awards ceremony rounded out Saturday night. Anyone reading this and looking for a very nice
fish camp, owes it to themselves to try out Bob's Landing on Crooked Lake. Ask for Cindy.
