Welcome to The Sister House Bed & Breakfast!

We are here for two reasons:  First, to offer pleasant accommodations to people visiting in the area without having to travel to Peoria or Galesburg.  Second, to educate about agriculture.

We pride ourselves on fresh, clean, and quiet surroundings.  Unless the baa of a sheep or moo of a cow or whinny of a horse disturbs you — and that seldom happens!  (They are quiet, too.)

Because we enjoy the tranquility of our country life, we prefer not to have young children buzzing about.  But, that’s not a hard and fast rule.  If you have well behaved children, ask and perhaps we will make an exception!  Children enjoy helping on a farm and we love to see them learning new things.

We enjoy getting acquainted with our guests and strive to give you a delicious, filling breakfast in the morning as well as a welcome treat when you arrive.  We can adjust to different dietary needs — just tell us in advance if you have any preferences.

We have lots of interesting books, DVDs and satellite TV.  Each room has personal momentos fitting unusual themes.
