"I live in my own little world...but it's okay.
They know me here."

My husband, Ken, and I live in Villa Rica, GA, and are the parents of three grown children.

Along with my children’s series, I also co-authored a humorous lifestyle book, Women Only Over Fifty, WOOF, and am published in the Gulf Coast Writers Anthology, Vol. VI. I am a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and The Carrollton Creative Writer's Club

The idea for Cynthia’s Attic came about through the recurring dream of a mysterious attic. Upon realizing that the dream took place in the home of my dear, childhood friend, Cynthia, the dreams stopped, and the writing began.

My father, Paul Bulleit, a Louisville Courier Journal reporter for 40 years, is directly responsible for my love of writing, creativity, and fantasy. When I was a child, a night didn’t pass that Dad wasn’t either reading to me from a favorite storybook, or making up a story of his own.

As I make friends and find my way around a new community, I'm busy getting Cynthia and Gus into more trouble in The Magician's Castle. (Quake/2009)

Just like fictional characters, Cynthia and Augusta Lee, my childhood friend, Cynthia and I grew up in a small, Southern Indiana town...the setting for "Cynthia's Attic." Although we spent much of the summer playing softball, hide and seek, badminton, and croquet in a vacant lot on our block, as you can see, I also enjoyed taking a bow at the occasional ballet recital. Years later, I would recall those joyful summers in my young reader series, "Cynthia's Attic."

"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination.
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."
~Albert Einstein
