This page is a comparison between two aluminum blunts, a Valentine Armory blade (no longer in production) and a Swordcrafts.com blade.  This is not to say one is better than the other.  I only post these to show how they stand up to constant use.

The Valentine blade was purchased around 2003.  I own the Swordcrafts blade and have been using it every week in class since March or 2007.

The Valentine blade is square-edged while the Swordcrafts blade is rounded.  I will not use my Swordcrafts blade with a Valentine blade because it scratches and notches my blade.

You do not want to run a bare hand down the edge of the Valentine blade.  It will cut you up like a hack saw.  The Swordcrafts blade has no jagged edges after months of hard use.
