Aluminum 'Lichtenaur' Longsword from Swordcrafts.com

Swordcrafts.com

Swordcrafts swords were designed with the invaluable assistance of the senior instructors of the Academy of European Medieval Martial Arts (AEMMA), for the sole purpose of providing their students with a durable, safe training tool which handled and resembled as closely as possible its Medieval forebear. To that extent, they are replicas of their actual medieval counterparts in most every functional aspect. They are archetypal representations - the typical sword of their times in both appearance and handling. Utmost consideration has been given to 'the feel' of the sword.

Swordcrafts now make three models; the 'I.33' arming sword, the 'Liberi' long sword, and the NEW 'Lichtenaur' long sword. Although their names imply the main use for which they were designed, they will serve well in related arts, as their dimensions are broadly typical.

Longsword Fencing (Schielhau.org)

The focus of this site is the translation of selected sections of several fechtbücher, German manuscripts on the fighting arts.

I.33, The Tower Fightbook, Sword & Buckler

The I.33 manuscript (also called Walpurgis or Tower Fechtbuch; Tower of London manuscript I.33) is the oldest Fechtbuch preserved. It was created in Germany around 1290. The technique presented is one of two unarmoured opponents fencing with a one-handed sword and a buckler.

Albion Swords - History In Your Hands

Holding an Albion sword is like traveling back in time and shaking hands with a Medieval Knight.  They are not look-alikes or replicas -- we call them "re-creations" because they not only look like period originals, but feel and perform like them as well, just as on the day that they were newly forged.

Silvermane - Roman to Renaissance

Silvermane has been offering an extensive selection of Roman to Renaissance merchandise since 1996.  What started as a web based business soon evolved into a traveling enterprise and today you can find our tents at almost every Renaissance faire in the New England area.

Note: I own this pratice hand and a half sword from Silvermane.
