Nikki lives in San Francisco, where she teaches aerobics and runs a small
bookkeeping business. She spent a few years abroad before settling back in California. While living in Nepal, Nikki missed
the food from home, but recommends the green papaya salad sold on the streets in Thailand. She also enjoyed the home-cooked
meals provided by the Egyptian staff on the scuba boats in the Red Sea. Nikki’s favorite meals to this day continue
to be the ones cooked for her.
Brian lives in Seattle with his wife, Taya. He works as a scientist at ZymoGenetics and enjoys remodeling their house and cooking. This does not, however, keep the pair from sampling the culinary delights
from Seattle’s abundant restaurants and cafes. Their pets, Paxton, the big Black Lab, and Matzah the "unleavened" cat,
like to nibble on tomatoes in the garden and baked goods cooling on the kitchen counter. Brian and Taya still observe a strict
six o’clock dinner hour.
