Life of a pharaoh was very different from a slave, farmer, and other people in Egypt. A pharaoh was the one who gave orders to people. He was the one who ruled.

A pharaoh was a religious leader holding the titles of “Lord of two lands” or “ high priest of every temple.” Some pharaohs went to war when their land was threatened or when they wanted to control foreign lands if they won. People had to recognize the pharaoh as their ruler and offer him the finest and most valuable goods of their land. Pharaohs were very important people.
