There are many useful links scattered through the pages of this site where they would be most beneficial for you. (And yes, I need to verify them soon.) The following are in a class by themselves and not necessarily pertaining to the topics on this site.

There’s so much garbage on the Internet that it’s a delight to stumble across sites that are not only informative, but beautiful. It’s also incredible to find sites that are funny. This is my tribute to a few of them.

Don’t mind the category names.

Click on the underlined names in the first column of the tables to go to the site you choose. It will open in a new window.

Information and Reference

Super site that is as grumpy a grammar nitpicker as I am.
A site devoted to word and phrase origins, including the nauseating phrase, “pushing the envelope”. I never knew it was an aeronautical engineering term. Did you?

Computing

This is a nice free program that tells you about sites and whether they're safe. Worth downloading.
This man wrote a computer book years ago that still lives on my shelf. (As you know, they generally have a shelf life equal to dairy products.) Go to this site for self-help on Web design. When you sign up for his newsletter, you don't get spammed and you do get some great humor.

Computer Graphics

Ardella does a great job on this site. Need resources or tutorials for Paint Shop Pro 8? This is where to start.
Did you buy the downloadable version of Paint Shop Pro 8? If so, there are some files you didn't get. Go to this site for links, but if you have a dial-up connection, be aware that you're in for long downloads.

Pretty Sights/Sites

Better check this site out today. When I win the lottery, I doubt that Marlies will have any inventory of her work left for anyone else to buy.

Trinidad and Tobago

Some of this lady's work is in Trinidadian patois, but others are in “real English”. Either way, Nathalie combines humor with hard-hitting topics.

Marlise Miscellany
English Sight (oops) Cite (nope) SITE
Click here. This site takes forever to load because I designed it before there was a good graphics compression program, but I enjoyed designing it.
Marlise Club

Click here. This was an experiment just because I wondered how many others with my name were around. It's incredible how many there are. By the way, this is the poster child for sites that need JPG compression.
