
Here it is... the glorious KB0GTG commercial-free radio station, broadcasting at you (well, actually, hams aren't supposed to broadcast) at nearly 100 Watts of RF power. The rig is a trusty Kenwood TS-440S, late 80's vintage (I remember that because I had to quickly buy it before Nan and I got married in 1990 so she wouldn't overrule the acquisition--'course, she had to quickly buy Maude before we got married for the same reason). Hasn't been getting too much use lately due to school, a bad antenna and power supply, and the bottoming out of the 11-year sunspot cycle (a low sunspot count makes for poor radio communications). Nonetheless, I have an impressive wall of QSL cards (courtesy cards hams send to each other) from countries all around the world.
