"Throttle & Clutch" comes in three main chunks:
A. cuts 1, 2 & 3 are songs. 
B. cuts 4 through 11 comprise the soundtrack to a hypothetical film.
C. cuts 12 through 22 are a collection of sounds, atmospheres, comments, songs, and noise recorded around 1985 in San Francisco.The main performers for each track are noted in the list below and in the credits near the bottom of the page.   I mixed the pieces together to try and recreate the mood of the time.

NOTES AND CREDITS

1.  Star Time - Contains samples of Freddie Mercury from "Queen: Live Killers" (Elektra, 1979), the audience and an uncredited announcer from "That Funky Tramp in a Nightclub, Jimmy Lynch: Tramp Time, Volume 1" (LaVal, 1964), and vocal samples from John Gootee and Jim Hoadley from "Jay's Tape: Volume One"  (Ox, 1985). Rhythm track performed and recorded on the Apple iMac, guitar and samples recorded on the Dell PC.
2. A Crazy Life - Performed and recorded entirely on the iMac.
3. Riptide - Rhythm section performed and recorded on the iMac, guitars on the Dell.
4. Hector Gets Loose Vocal sample from the radio spot for "Thunderball" from "The Best of James Bond - 30th Anniversary Limited Edition" (EMI 1992),  explosion augmented with explosions from "Black Diamond" by KISS from "KISS Alive".
5. Oslo Airport (Main Titles), 6. Jamaica Flashback, 7. Moonroof and 11.Oslo Again (Credits) - Recorded entirely on the iMac.
8. Something in the Ecstasy - Contains a vocal sample from the "Thunderball" radio spot.  Johnny Loud scream sampled from "Burn Down the Night - Live at Club Graffiti" by Intelligent & Loud (Ox, 1986). Recorded on the Dell PC.
9. Leona Drops the Dime - Recorded with Cakewalk on the Dell.
10. Hovercraft Tango - Includes choral vocal samples created from several tracks on the "1977 Indiana All-State Honors Choir" LP, conducted by Dr. Howard Swan (RMC, 1977).   Some reverse guitar samples are from "Two Steps Forward" on the Junglebook "Number One" demo, (Commonwealth, 1987) rhythm track recorded on the iMac, guitar parts recorded on the Dell.

12. 17th and Noise - Vinyl noise from "Windmills of Your Mind" by Oscar Peterson, vocal samples from "44"  and  "Jay's Tape, Part Two", by The Trees (both Ox, 1984),  vocal excerpts from "One Quick Question" by Forst Haus (Ox, 1984), Rich and Dave excerpted from unreleased tapes of the Ox Cassettes Tape Release Party at Nightbreak, circa1985.  Pete Townsend excerpted from the Laserlight Audio Book "Summer of Love:Rock of Ages" (Delta, 1997).  Narrator Peter Thomas sampled from "Everything You Need to Know to Operate a CB Radio" (GemCom, 1976).  "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" excerpt performed by Intelligent & Loud from "Jay's Tape, Part Two". The World's Famous Supreme Team  excerpts from "Duck Rock" by Malcolm McLaren, (Chrysalis, 1982). Vocal sample from "Big Dipper" by Intelligent & Loud from "1/2 of the Junglebook Hour", episode 1.  Audio collage by Junglebook.
13. Road Rage - Kick drum samples from "Thin Ice", feedback guitar samples from "The Night Came Thundering Down", plus various other drum and guitar sounds sampled from the unreleased live recording "Clean Sweep at Thonander's" by The Streets, recorded live in Evanston, Illinois, in 1980, by way of the "TetsaBlinker" remix by Jeff Left (EPR 1999).  Guitar and drum machine samples from various gig and rehearsal tapes by Intelligent & Loud.  Bass sounds sampled from "Lobster Quadrille" and "One Quick Question" performed by Forst Haus.  Some drum sounds and rolls sampled from "Percussion I" from the Chappell Recorded Music Library. 15. Freestyle Elephants - (Hoadley, Gootee, Junglebook) Built from samples from "Rain in California", "Thank You, Goodnight", and "Why Is Arthur Depressed?" all by The Trees, from their unreleased collection "Hand of God" (Ox 01, 1984) The Trees feature percussion, guitar, tape manipulation and bass by Junglebook, Gootee, and Hoadley.  Also includes excerpts from "I Oughta" from The Streets' (guitar by McRae, drums by Donaldson) live recording from 1980. 16. The Laugh Muscles - (Gootee, Junglebook, & cbrown) Based on Puffy-sized samples from "I Can't Believe", written by John Gootee, performed by Intelligent & Loud - guitars by Junglebook, bass by Hoadley, percussion by Gootee.  Vocal samples of Hoadley, Junglebook and Gootee from "Jay's Tape, Part One".  Feedback sampled from "Firehouse" by KISS, from "KISS Alive". Timpani roll from "In the Hall of the Mountain King" as performed by the Berlin Opera Orchestra.  Whistle atmospherics from "I Dreamt I Carried Pizza"  from the soundtrack to "1/2 of the Junglebook Hour", episode 4.  Audio collage composition by Junglebook and cbrown.
17. Rattle the Cage - (Hoadley/Junglebook) Reverb abuse and guitar sound effects by David Brian; Drums by Rich Ferguson; bass by Jim Hoadley; vocals by Junglebook.  Jungle sounds by the ensemble (I think Gootee is just in the video).  From "Habit of Decision" (Ox, 1985)  Recorded at Lennon Studios, San Francisco, vocals at  The Magic Shop, Half Moon Bay.  Produced by Junglebook.
19. Bouncer - (Hoadley, Gootee, Junglebook)  Built from samples from "Grasshopper" and "Hand of God" written and performed by The Trees, plus sample from "Firehouse" by KISS from "KISS Alive".   Guitars, bass, tape manipulation and drum machine programming by The Trees.  One sample from "Hand of God" contains an interior sample from "Music in the World of Islam, Vol. 1: The Human Voice"(Tangent, 1976).  Audio collage composition by Junglebook.
20. Members of The Happy - Built from samples from: "One Night Only: The 1/2Fast Five live at The Nightbreak", contains excerpts from "Girl From Ipanema" (Jobim/Moraes/Gimbel) performed by David Brian, "Back In the USSR" (Lennon/McCartney) and "Happy Together" (The Turtles) as performed by The 1/2Fast Five - David Brian, guitar and vocals; John Gootee, vocals;  Rich Ferguson, drums, Jim Hoadley, bass and vocals, and Junglebook, keyboards and vocals.   Mick Jagger and Jerry Garcia comments excerpted from Laserlight Audio Book "Summer of Love: Woodstock Nation".  Yodeling by Mark C. 21. Our Cultural Mission - (words and music by Blue Movie [published by Beat Not Beat Music, ASCAP, 1987]) Original track recorded on a portable tape recorder at a Blue Movie gig at The Stone, San Francisco, circa 1988 with Jb on lead vocals for one song. Guitar, vocals: David Brian, Drums: Rich Ferguson, Bass, vocals: Jim Hoadley, Remixed with additional Junglebook vocal track ("KISS Alive II" style) in 1999.
22. Garfield Park - (Hoadley/Junglebook) Performed by Red English (Jim Hoadley, bass; Jb, guitar) compiled and edited from the improvisational recording "Russian Hills II" (Ox 1985).
