I took the train and slept all right. I got to Paris around
8:30 am and called my friend. She met me at the metro
station and walked me to her friend's apartment. I fell
asleep for about 8 hours. When I woke up we got ready
for another train ride.

We didn't know where exactly we were going to go
except  that we wanted to be on our way to Prague. We
tried to get a train to Heidelberg but it didn't exist. We
decided to take a train to Frankfurt which had two places
we need to change, Brussels and Koln (Cologne). We got
into Brussels around 4:30 am. At 6:00am we got on the train
for Koln. Somehow we got on the wrong train and we were
headed towards Oostende which is the very opposite direction
of where we were going. When we  realized our mistake we
jumped off the first station we came to.  The ticket collector
told us to take the train from platform 9.  We jumped onto
the first train which also happened to be the wrong train.
We got of at the next station which was Brugge,  Belgium.

We went to the ticket counter to get
information on the next train to Koln. The
information people told us to take a look
around the city first.

We grudgingly agreed and were quite taken with the
place.  Brugge is very touristy (although I had never
heard of it) yet  very beautiful. It had been a medieval
town and had many  churches and towers and cobblestone
streets. It was very delightful.

We contemplated staying after talking to a young man
who had been there for a while. We decided we were anxious to
get started back on our trip so we left for Koln.
We decided not to travel any further than Koln.
We stayed in a very lovely youth hostel and had a
good German meal. The next day we took a stupid
hour long tour of the Rhine.  We didn't really see
anything of  interest.

Later that day we took an overnight train to Prague.
We  sat with a lovely German couple who gave us
information about sites we were seeing from the train.

We arrived in Prague yesterday and will be staying for
three days total. I really love it here. I may come back later
in the trip.  We met two Norwegian guys who were staying
at our hostel. We went to a traditional Czech dinner with
one of the guys and later went to a couple of pubs. We got
home around 8:00 pm and went straight to sleep.

I have much more to tell you all but we just met an
Australian pilot  guy and we are going to meet the
Prague pals
Norwegians  for dinner.

Let me know what is going on with all of you,
I am eager for home news.
     Until later,
     Marisa
