I later realized that I had never mentioned this guy in
my previous letters. He was staying at the same place
I was and I overheard him saying he had just graduated
from San Francisco State (just like me!) I felt that was as
good a reason as any to do some sightseeing together. We
went to the Eiffel Tower (all the way up) and took a Seine
river boat tour. We had different agendas after that, although
we did make vague plans to meet up again, and we never saw
each other again.
