Artist's Profile

orn and raised in Sweden, I received my training in the fine arts at the Gerlesborg School in Stockholm. After participating in several juried exhibits at the National Museum of Art and elsewhere, I had two individual shows in Stockholm.

I came to Florida in 1987, exhibited my art here and won several awards. Until recently member of Boca Museum's Professional Artist Guild and international affiliate member of American Pen Women. From 1998 to 2000 studies in computer graphics at Broward Community College and MacFatter Technical Center in Davie, Florida.

Due to my schooling in the fine arts, as well as in computer graphics, I am able to work in both traditional and digital media. The skills at drawing people and animals learned in art school proved invaluable as I developed my style in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress and PageMill (Web design). I use a MacIntosh platform and have all the necessary equipment to work out of my home.

I have also developed other valuable areas of expertise complementary to my design skills: a B.A. degree from Stockholm University (English, French and Art) led to travels in Europe and assignments as a language teacher in the United States. A certificate in Legal Assistance from Florida Atlantic University led to a career in the legal field.

A few years ago I joined a literary club, since I am also interested in creative writing.
