Tom's Maternal Great Grandparents
Allen William Jeter was born in 1832 in Columbus, Muscogee
County, GA. He married Susan Seale on May 10, 1861 and they had 9 children together. All five of their sons became
doctors, one son also became a Reverend, one daughter was a missionary to China for over 20 years. Allen died on February
22, 1907 in Quay County, NM Territory. Susan was born in 1840 in Jasper County, MS and died on June 23, 1920 at
Wills Point, Van Zandt County, TX. Allen was a Confederate Civil War soldier and was a POW in 1863.

Mary Yantis is Tom's maternal Grand- mother. She was
born December 29, 1892 in Canton, Van Zandt County, TX, daughter of Judge Thomas Rusk Yantis & Belle Riley Yantis.
Mary married Dr. Joseph Joshua Jeter on September 21, 1916 in Van Zandt County, TX. She died at age 39 on October
2, 1932 in Colfax, Van Zandt County, TX.

| Carl Lee McKinnon in 1917 |
Carl Lee McKinnon (Tom's father) served in the Army Air
Corps during World War I at Call Field, Wichita Falls, TX. He also helped build Consolidated B-24 Liberator bombers
during World War II.

| Robert Lee McKinnon 1866-1924 |
Robert Lee McKinnon is Tom's paternal Grandfather, the son
of James Garrett McKinnon & Ellen Stewart. He was born January 9, 1866 in Lee County, GA and married May King on
November 16, 1888. They had 5 children together. Robert died December 18, 1924 in Chillicothe, Hardeman County,
TX. The babies are (L) Loyd Russell McCormick Jr (1923 - ) and (R) my late half-brother Carl Lee McKinnon Jr (1923-2003).

| Etna May McKinnon Lance 1892-1972 |
Aunt Etna was my favorite aunt and as a kid I used to spend
a few weeks with her every summer on her farm near Chillicothe, TX. She was born October 28, 1892 in Mexia, Limestone
County, TX. Etna married John Mitchell Lance (1888-1942) on November 8, 1914 and had 5 children with him. She
died December 18, 1972 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Harris County, TX while undergoing cancer treatment. Time
spent with her was some of the most treasured of my life.

Tom's Maternal Great Grandparents
Thomas Rusk Yantis was born April 9, 1857 in Millville,
Rusk County, TX. He married Belle Riley on October 16, 1890 in Van Zandt County, TX, and died there on February 9, 1932.
Belle was born February 16, 1868 in Van Zandt County, TX, and died there October 2, 1917. They had 5 children including
my grandmother, Mary. Judge Yantis was a Van Zandt County judge for several years and ran a successful law practice
with Charles Lee Hubbard.

McKinnon was born April 13, 1894 in Mexia, Limestone County, TX. He married Joy Belle Jeter on December 22, 1945.
Carl died at age 97 on November 13, 1991 in Iowa Park, Wichita County, TX. Joy Belle Jeter was born November 6, 1917
in Colfax, Van Zandt County, TX. She died January 5, 2001 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, TX. Carl was a hard
worker all his life and bought himself a Roto-Tiller for his 93rd birthday!

car. I still have the carburetor that came on it. It's bound to fit something. Hey, I'm a farm
kid.

| Ellen Stewart McKinnon 1836-1915 |
James Garrett McKinnon & Ellen Stewart are Tom's paternal
Great Grandparents. James was born Dec 31, 1824 in Hancock County, GA. He married Ellen Stewart on April 17, 1862
and had 8 children with her. James was murdered on May 3, 1894 in Limestone County, TX by a freed slave trying to steal
a $20 gold piece. That was just 3 weeks after his grandson, my father, was born. Ellen was born November 22, 1836
in Ellaville, Marion County, GA and died January 16, 1915 at Point Enterprise, Limestone County, TX.

Tom's 13th Great Grandfather was Archbishop
Adam Loftus (1533-1605). He was Archbishop of Armaugh and Dublin, Lord Chancellor of Ireland from 1581 on, first provost
of Trinity College, Dublin and personal friend of England's Elizabeth I. He built Rathfarnham Castle outside Dublin,
Ireland.
