Subject: Kathy Chavez brings it on home! - Congratulations!
Congrats to Kathy Chavez and her magnificent completion!! And
thanks to all those folks who supported and walked her last miles.
The celebration at the end was phenomenal and thanks to Baerbel
for the fine dining cruise. Excellent and keep on hikin` Chili
Pepper`s and Congrats to Habernero, KATHY!!!

Subject: Donations
Hello
Chili Peppers:
There have been inquiries regarding the donation fee for costs
of the hiking trips. It's not news that gas has gone up considerably,
nearly a $1 a gallon more than last year. Gas, costs to maintain
vehicles to drive to remote rugged trail heads, and guiding have
resulted in the following recommended donations by section of
the trail:
Sections 1-14: $40
Sections 15-20: $50
Sections 21-Durango: $75

Subject: Web Site Name Vote
Hello Chili Peppers: Here
are the submissions for a web site name for our hiking group.
All seem to like some variation of "red hot chili peppers"
- our web name needs to be much shorter. So here's your chance
to vote and/or add your own. The web site is fabulous thanks to
Liz Hamilton and is ready to go public as soon as we name it.
So please, if you could put your vote in at your earliest opportunity
we can show all our friends and neighbors what adventuresome and
accomplished hikers we really are! You can respond to manysprings@earthlink.net.

Hikes: As the new group will have made Breckenridge - CONGRATULATIONS!!
- we will start to jump around as weather and snow pack make
more sections available. For all who are trying to get specific
segments in and also to finish, we will start customizing the
schedule according to those needs. Anyone who has not made a
request for a specific segment, this would be a good time to
speak up. I'm actually going to attempt to make a schedule of
this information.
