We are all blessed with having the Orquiola name. All of us have unique talents and skills. Let us show them what we’re made of.
What do you consider is your greatest strengths? How would you incorporate that with the Orquiola name? I am not afraid to express my opinions on certain issues. Define success and failure. We continuously experience success and failure in our lives. Success is a piece of gold. Failure is a piece of a rotting potato. Therefore, we will always try our best to get more of the gold and throw out more of the rotting potatoes. I hope this makes sense.
Which three accomplishments are you most proud of? - Graduating from high school and college.
- Sharing my opinions in online forums
- Lying to employers by not telling them the real reason I want to work for them. It’s not like I’m going to say, “I want to work for you because I need money”. HAHAHA!!!
Describe your most rewarding experience. It hasn’t happened yet.
Who are your role models/heroes? Why? I don’t have any role models or heroes. Although I do admire people who are happy and successful in their lives.
What motivates you the most? What do you enjoy doing the most? Two things that motivate me: my own emotions and desperation. What I enjoy doing the most is sleeping.
What are you majoring in? Why did you choose it? I majored in Marketing. I chose it because it fits my personality.
What are the pros and cons of your major? When I learned all the stuff in college, I felt good knowing all this stuff and prepared myself to get a job in this field. But when I actually search for jobs, I realize that 50% of what I’ve learned would not be used (unless I have my own business). This is reality.
How do you prevent stress in everyday life? You can’t. Even if you’re not stressed physically, you’d still be stressed mentally. Just thinking of your bills to pay stresses you out.
What’s it like living in the Canada? Living in Canada is alright. Medical service is free, but you still have to pay for your prescriptions. Not much pollution. Tax is high. Unfortunately, in the province we live in, there is a limited selection of jobs, so chances are, the work you’re doing now is not what you really want. I think this is because the province we live in is becoming a bit overcrowded with people. But overall, Canada is a good place to live in.
Where would you ideally live? Why? If I was rich, I’d go back to the Philippines and enjoy everything I’ve missed. The malls, clubs, bars, and beaches. At the meantime, I’m staying in Canada.

10yrs – I’d be 34 by then. WOW! That time, I’d really want to have a stable job, a wife, children, nice house, nice car.
Ideally, this is what I would want to happen. BUT, It’s not as easy as it sounds. Maybe my goals would change in a few years. I can’t predict my future.
How would you instill encouragement to someone who needs it? Don’t dwell on past mistakes and recognize your achievements. Expect more on success. Believe in yourself, have confidence, think positive, and never give up.
What are some problems facing families today? What would you do to help solve it? The biggest ones I can think of are divorce, gay marriages, and financial difficulties. All I can do is share my opinions on these issues but there is nothing I can personally do to solve it. This is the world today, deal with it.
