Don't
forget that we are doing the coffin building tomorrow
(Saturday) at 10:00 am. Come by and pound a nail, drive a screw, paint, or
just say hi. Ron Escobar and I have signed up. We need two more
people and an Emma. We also need people to walk in the parade.
Come support the lodge. Here's the timeline for the 30th of October:
1100 check in
1100 -1200 Tech Inspection and pre judging
1215 Coffin Parade begins and final judging
1:00 Coffin Races Begin
Basic Coffin Specs:
Size 2' wide by 5' long to 46" wide by 8' long (including handles)
No minimum or maximum height
Must have 4 wheels not to exceed 8" in diameter including tires. (firmly
mounted and can use casters) |

It was a great turn-out last night. It was nice to see
so many in lodge. We had quite a few visitors as well. We had members
from Fountain Valley, Cripple Creek, Colorado Springs #76, Daylight
Centurion, Ramah, Mountain Post Military Lodge #26, and a few others
represented. The Widow's Sons (Masons with motorcycles) made a visit
in force as well. Our treasurer, Darold Jones, took care of the meal. We
even licked the cardboard clean.
Our main event was the EA degree for Britton Yount. Thanks to the
preparation of our vacationing Junior Warden Billy Swartz, and to the
Senior Warden Don Lam, it all went off without a hitch except for a few of
us confused on the start time.
I thank you all for being there and appreciate some of our visitors
filling in a few chairs to get the work started.
