We got a visit from a mother Mallard and nine ducklings that wandered through in June of 2002.  We didn't see from where they started out, but the troop waddled through our back yard, around the side and continued down the sidewalk. By the time Michael caught up to them with his camera they were taking a quick break by the neighbor's front walk before moving off. Eventually there came a large enough break in traffic for the mother duck to feel confident about crossing. So, after briefly but safely stopping traffic on our street, they marched on, in the direction the Norristown Farm Park, where they probably found a nice place to stay.
