I "joked" in another blog about Americans being thrown in jail if they don't buy health insurance. Now it's not a joking matter. I heard tonight (on the news), they are considering a $25,000.00 fine and one year in jail if we don't get insurance. Never mind that those who don't buy it still can't afford it. To quote Jim Morrison, "This is the end, my friend..."

What is happening to this country? What happening to our liberty...our freedom to make our own choices, live our lives the way we see fit? It's like we are in the middle of an auction..."Going...going...GONE." And we are almost..."gone".

So...someone, lets say...60 yrs old, can't afford insurance. Let's fine them $25,000 and throw them in the slammer. How wonderful. Then lets see, how much does the taxpayer put out to pay for that "hotel" stay for a year? A lot. The 60 year old convict (and grandparent) still can't afford insurance, or the fine, when they get out. Then what? Will they have to pay the fine before they are released? Or be thrown back in? This is insanity! The jails are already filled with people who carried a joint on them. Overloaded with them, in fact. Lets add more people who shouldn't be there. If Obama legalized pot, sold it in stores and taxed it, health care would be paid for and then some. But no, we mustn't be politically incorrect...even though many people in government and over half the country smoke pot. Hypocites all.

Obama promised changed and look what is happening. We didn't ask for this.
