Welcome to the Leather Organizations Web Ring

About the Ring

The Leather Organizations Ring (referred to here as LthrOrg) was started in order to provide a means of linking clubs and groups oriented around leather, S/M, and associated interests. Membership in the Ring is limited to clubs and organizations, not individual persons or commercial enterprises. All forms of such clubs and organizations are welcome, including straight, gay, and pansexual organizations.

Currently, The Leather Organizations Web Ring coexists with a few other related Rings. First is The Leather Ring administered by Jeffrey Hammond (aka Piglet). Second is the S/M Organizations Ring (SMORG). The existence of the LthrOrg Ring is not intended in any way to "compete" with those rings. In fact, it is the opinion of the LthrOrg Ringmaster that the great power of Web Rings is the interlinkage between rings through sites which fit in both rings. By being a member of more than one of these rings (as well as any of the other thousands of rings), a site is made more fully capable of achieving its purpose; to wit, the dissemination of information.

Thanks for your interest in the LthrOrg Ring. I hope your experience with us is thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile. If you have any specific questions or comments, please feel free to e-mail the Ringmaster.

Regarding HTML style

This is not strictly oriented toward the topic of the LthrOrg Ring, but I feel it is germane to the entire Web experience.

As a Webmaster and Ringmaster, I try to follow the HTML standard closely. As far as I can determine, the pages for the LthrOrg ring comply with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standard for HTML 4.0 Transitional. All pages have been validated with at least two reliable online HTML validation services.

In addition, an attempt has been made to provide HTML which renders coherently to users of every Web browser currently available, including text-based browsers (such as Lynx) and voice-to-speech enhanced browsers for the blind and partially sighted. The use of browser specific markup has been strictly controlled.*

If, during your use of any part of the administrative section of this Webring (that is, any section of the LthrOrg ring located on the wizvax.net domain) you encounter bad HTML, ugly rendering, or some other browser conflict, please LET ME KNOW. While I may not be able to remedy the situation, perhaps there may be some fix. I truly feel that HTML that cannot be used by every user of the Web to its fullest potential is inherently EVIL. (Oh, I knew I left that soapbox somewhere!)

Again, thank you.
