Denver Botanical Garden "I have become increasingly convinced that the Texas Hill Country (a.k.a. Edwards Plateau) is the last great reservoir of hardy germplasm in the continental United States containing superior plants for gardens all over North America. I believe that Madrone Nursery is the skeleton key to this fabulous flora: Dan and Elaine Hosage are intrepid plant explorers with a keen eye for special forms and hybrids.
