Lindheimer's Crown Beard (Verbesina lindheimeri)

Lindheimer's Crown Beard (Verbesina lindheimeri)

This endemic perennial is one of the few showy wildflowers to bloom so profusely in the heat of the Texas summer. At home in the dry shade of Hill Country oaks, Lindheimer's Crown Beard brings long lasting splashes of bright yellow to shady corners. The plant is extremely tough, drought-tolerant and is seldom bothered by insects.

Lindheimer's Crown Beard is deer-resistant, but they may sample young Spring growth.
