Devil's Shoestring (Nolina lindheimeriana) Endemic to the Edward's Plateau, this highly ornamental species forms a graceful rosette of narrow, rich green leaves up to 5' long. In late Spring, it throws up several large spikes of yellow green flowers that transform into rows of attractive, papery seed capsules. The plant is extremely drought tolerant. Devil's Shoestring is deer-resistant but emerging flower stalks need protection. |
