F. acaminata is commonly found in east/north Texas. Its heart-shaped leaves delineate it from F. pubescens, otherwise it is very similar in habit, shape and wildlife use! F. reticulata - Net-leaf Forestiera is a highly desirable small tree found in the western half of the Hill Country. It grows 8-12' high, usually single trunked with smooth light gray bark. The leaves are a dark green with shiny surfaces. It has a brilliant yellow fall color with blue-black berries. |
