Bamboo Muhly (Muhlenbergia dumosa) Native to Arizona and Mexico, this appealing bunchgrass lends a delicate and feathery air to the Texas landscape. It resembles a small bamboo, minus the runners! Finely textured, light green leaves arch gracefully from branched, upright stems. The plant is an ideal screen or background accent for ponds, pools or shaded areas. It is considered an evergreen, as it retains its leaves down to the mid 20s. Bamboo Muhly is fast growing, as well as drought, insect and deer resistant. Flowers are inconspicuous. Bamboo Muhly is deer resistant. |
