Behind the silhouette of a female long-tailed
macaque (an infant is on her back) is Phra Prang Sam Yot. This former
Hindu shrine was constructed of sandstone and laterite and decorated with
stucco. The three towers symbolize the the Hindu trinity of Brahma
the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer. The shrine
was converted into a Buddhist temple under the reign of King Narai. Click
