CHELSEA’S
CORNER
Hello everyone. My name is Chelsea and I am a Cocker Spaniel. I am
six years old and I love to play while Mommy is whipping up her famous
recipes. Mommy has an e-zine called "Just Jeanne" and I have my own
column. I am the STAR and get more fan mail than Mommy. If I am a
good puppy and don’t get in her way, she will bake me homemade cookies.
If we ask her real nicely, maybe we can get her to share some of her
doggy recipes. Let me try “woof bark ruff bark bark?” She says....
“ROKAY”. |

CHELSEA’S COOKIES
2-1/2
cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cups powdered dry milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. brown sugar
6 tbs. meat drippings
1 tbs. parsley flakes
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup ice water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil a
cookie sheet. Combine flour, dry milk, salt, garlic powder,
parsley flakes and sugar. Cut into meat drippings until mixture
resembles corn meal. Mix in egg. Add enough water so that mixture
forms a ball. Using your fingers, pat out dough onto cookie
sheet to half-inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter or knife and
remove scraps. Scraps can be formed again. Bake 25 - 30 minutes.
Remove from tray and cool on rack. Store in a cookie tin.
