Guine-Bissau is one of the world's poorest countries. Before the revolution, Sagres built a brewery in the country
and produced a few cans. The Sagres Export pictured is one of those cans. Following the overthrow of the Portuguese
colonial rule, the brewery briefly produced its own brands including the Cicer shown. The story goes that the brewery
quickly ran out of spare parts and hard currency so the canning line came to a halt.
| This can predates the revolution. |

|
| Very few of these cans have reached collector's shelves. |
| This Sagres was made just after the revolution. |

|
| Note the "Republica Da Guine-Bissau" along the bottom. |
| Was the red star to gain favor with the marxist? |

|
| Again note the "Guine-Bissau" within the label. |
