This is the only can known with a reference to Christmas Island (Kiritimati now) and I now know of two in existence.
Until 1979, the Gilbert & Fanning Islands along with the Line Islands were administered by the Brits. In 1979 Kiribati
became an independent country.
There are actually two Christmas Islands. This can refers to the one located in the Pacific within the Island nation
of Kiribati. There is also a island near Indonesia that is an external territory of Australia called Christmas
Island as well.
