About "Two Goddesses from the Parthenon"

In working with damaged art from Ancient Greece and Rome for so many years, I have always tried to imagine how the pieces looked at the time of their creation. The limitations in doing archaeological reconstructions are too many, as often there are not enough references. These limitations could be however eliminated if one does an artistic interpretation. I admire these sculptures and now I have them, although in charcoal, at home.

The work is offered as an archival quality digital print or geclee. Different sizes and price upon request.

"Unearthed"

This work is about the excitement of archaeological findings. I made this sculpture, trying to convey the feeling one experiences when digging into the earth sudenly discovers the vivid presence of another world that existed thousands of years ago. I have taken photographs of this work that allow enlargements up to several feet.

"Modern God of Speed"
