New Beginnings . . .

Many nests on my suburban 40-box western bluebird trail are built from plain straw, bark or pine needles.  But many have interesting add-ons and this page will show the variety of bird finds that are added to these new beginnings.  The beginning nest (above) contains an unusually large amount of tissue and fiberfill.

Since I work full time and chicks are now due, Sunday (4/1/01) concludes the sites

for this 2001 "New Beginnings" series.  The finished nestcups, however, will be added.
