Yoga is very much a spiritual practice which
recognizes a higher power and a divinity within. It has much in common with transpersonal therapies that do the same. However
it doesn't depend on anyone's theories and more importantly, is not dependant on a therapist's interpretations. It is a direct
experience of one's higher potential, pure and unique to each individual. Each person can process the experience
in their own way, either within the framework of yoga philosophy or not.
For most of us yoga is slow and steady. It takes
ongoing practice and patience to experience lasting change. It also involves changes in values and lifestyle . And it works!
