lumin / an Auminimua expression as interpreted by Paul J. Lehman, The Greatness Factor

     Everyone has an individuated identity for social purposes. This helps us keep track of the various aspects of the society in which we dwell. Yet somewhere in the background there is "The Unindividuated Self" that is more inclusive and does not adhere to the boundaries that we hold certain. "It" is this "Entity/Nonentity" that guides us in the thoughts that we have and the actions we take as we operate in our lesser realities of worldly concerns.
     This "Unidentifiable, Undifferentiated Self", I have chosen, arbitrarily to call "lumin". "It" is known to others by many names such as "Holy Spirit", "The Father", "The Great Spirit", "God", "Allah", etc. Since "It" is the cause of all thought and all naming, "It" is nameless and can be accessed by meditation, contemplation, serenity, inspiration, revealation, chanting, and/or crisis.
"It" occurs when we are in deep thought, in the middle of sleep and sometimes in the morning reverie. In moments of clarity those who are inspired know themselves to be "It". From this realization they see themselves and others hiding in the deceptions of human specialness, circumstance and condition
     This happens to some extent to all of us. Mostly we take it for granted. "It" is simply a part of our operation. There are some who enjoy the experience of inspiration or vision beyond the borders of normal conventional reality where they are "It". These do whatever they can to be in situations where "It" is liable to happen.
     These are the poets, prophets and visionaries who bring new meaning and understanding into the lesser realities of human existence. Without this happening, the world would be a forbidding place where people with no vision protected themselves and constantly warred with other people who have no vision. (Sound familiar?)

     This weblog is dedicated to my interaction as Paul the individuated aspect of The Universe with lumin, That Which is Unindividuated, Whole and Complete. It is my attempt to offer those who might be interested some idea of how I have reached the understanding that I now have.
     Lumin represents the level of consciousness that occurs beyond the divisions in the background where our minds are confluent with the minds of others. Those who have experienced psychic revelations know what I am talking about. Those without this experience can only surmise from what others have said and written.
     The Connecteddness, Commonality and Continuity of Existence is taken for granted as we differentiate, designate and define ourselves in order to play in the game of life. Yet, we are not separate form the pull of gravity, the electro-magnetic field, cosmic radiation and, at a coarser level, the air that we breath, elements we eat and drink or anything that we name and declare different. This is "The Greater Reality" wherein "lumin" resides.
     Sometimes I, as the writer, am "Paul" and sometimes I am "lumin" as I move back and forth between the lesser reality of individuated human existence and "The Greater Reality of Divine Existence". I leave it to you, the reader, to evaluate and decide what to make of what is offered.

     In out lesser operational realities, it is necessary froim time to time to remind ourselves of The Greater Reality out of which we and all "things" come.
     Our descent in The Canyon of Consideration enables us to participate as individuals in The Ongoing Creation. We tend to forget our Connectedness in The Greater Reality unless times of rememberance such as Thanksgiving Day are established. This allows us to remember our involvement in a family group, a social group, a national group and, ultimately, in The All Inclusive, Greater Reality.
      Thus we give thanks at various levels of our being, knowing our participation in creative process and enjoying the fruits of our continued spiritual development.

Enlightenment or illumination occurs when one is able to set aside one's comventional, operational reality and allow vision to be refreshed, taking new realizations into consideration.

     There is no expression that is acceptable to everyone. Since everyone has a different mental arrangement, they are in different places within The Canyon of Consideration and see from different points of view. Desiring to share their point of view with others, they often trespass on what another hollds to be sacred, infallible or unassailable.
     As a result, words are shouted, gangs are formed, tempers flare and wars are waged. Each side thinks itself right and the other wrong. Each thinks itself good and the other evil. Only when there is a clear winner or resources are drained and embattlement can no longer be sustained do the antagonists examine and find value in what "the other" offers.
     Those who understand this make every effort to see from the point of view of the other to keep embattlement from happening. If necessary, they withdraw from contention before escalation occurs in order to keep violence from happening. In calmness they see from both sides and gently offer their well-considered solution.

Serenity is an option

Only in calmess does one know Truth

Calmness and serenity is reached by simply letting go of embattlement. Since they are alternate realities, you cannot have both at the same time. You can however switch back and forth between the two. In serenity you achieve vision. This is The Greater Reality where there is overview of the circumstances of life. In the lesser conventional reality of the time, you act, knowing that your action has taken into consideration the concerns of those with whom you are interacting.
