Welcome to the 2007   2008   2009 edition of the RidgeRat site.

Last year was different.

This site continues the slow transition into a styled web site, except for the tech pages that have to take care of themselves. As always, there are no commercial elements here: no ads, no stock photos, no scripts! No lead paint! Guaranteed child safe!

I've added a new hike covering the Snow-Gem-Wildcat Lakes area. I have wanted to get back there for some time, but the timing had to be right! And by timing, I meant weather under control, and avoid the crowds. Yes I mean crowds. Over 400 people in a day is hardly unusual. But if you go far enough, the trail runs thin, and so do the crowds.
