Grace Episcopal Church and its rectory also were destroyed. Although we're not sure, we assume the rectory was next door to the church, as it is now. The church that was destroyed formerly had been St. James Catholic Church. When the new church was built, the Episcopalians purchased the old building and moved their location.

The present church was rebuilt almost immediately; the cornerstone reads 1885. The rectory remains beside it.
