love contemplation
imagine
for a moment
a blood-red dark ruby
splintered by the light
of many smiles
try to see
from the heart's inside
ripples of flecked starlight
cascading from deepest black
can you hear
from cool mountains
shrouded in folds of rolling mists
resonating choirs of angels
isn't that scent
wafting through clear air
sweet lilac intermingled
with fresh-mown grass
this taste so honey-ed
tingles the palate
with a gourmet buffet
delighting every bud
take all of the above
my compatriots of finer illusions
as mere metaphor
for my naked love
strolling
through the face
of my mind
