breath

i
breathe
deeply within
consciously counting
one by another
the breaths
as they flow
effortlessly
in and out
inhale
exhale

part of me
undistracted
watches me
watching the breaths
exhale
inhale
out and in
without effort
as the mind chatter
scurryings of worry
slowly mutes itself

flowing far within
together
with no effort

in

     and

              out

breaths
focused upon
counted consciously
flow together

breathing in

the aroma of cappuccino
the ripple of brook
the shivering of leaves
the coolness of dew
the sweetness of cinnamon

&

breathing out

the scent of grain
the trilling of bird sound
the stalk of egret
the brush of breeze
the tartness of apple

from far within
our seeming
separatenesses
merge
coalesce
into one
breath
