July 21-22 Philadelphia Took on structural cargo for England along with LST 921.
July 23-25 New York, Pier 51 Awaiting orders.
July 25 Departed New York Crossed Atlantic in convoy HXM 301, heading for Great Britain.
Aug 9-11 Liverpool  
Aug 13 Milford Haven, Wales Overnight shelter because of submarine activity in vicinity.
Aug 14 en route to Falmouth LST 921 and British LCI 99 torpedoed and sunk by German submarine U-667. LST 920 picked up 65 survivors of the 2 vessels.
Aug 15-22 Falmouth Unloaded LST 921 survivors, and structural cargo.
Aug 25-28 Plymouth Towed 2 barges to Plymouth.
Aug 30-Sept 7 Portland/Weymouth Load Army artillery and personnel for France.
Sep 9-10 Utah Beach/Normandy Opened hull during 4A.M. beaching. Flooded main engine room, aux engine room, boiler & evaporator room---Towed back across English Channel to Southhampton for drydocking and repairs.
Sept 11-Nov 12 Southhampton Drydock, repairs, trials. Loaded army trucks, artillery, personnel.
Nov 13-19 Le Harve, France Anchored 6 days outside Le Harve in very rough weather.
Nov 21-22 Southhampton Loaded army trucks and personnel.
Nov 23 Arromanche Beach Unloaded.

Dec 18-26 Plymouth Took on LCT 642 for return to U.S.A.---Crossed Atlantic in convoy to Norfolk, Va.

1945

Jan 13-Feb 22 Norfolk Removed LCT 642. 30 days leave for most of crew; partial change of crew. Received officers Naden, Smallwood, Lehrer. Transferred Gerard, Vandemoer, Waters. Clymer remained in Europe. Added two more davits and LCVPs, boat crews, gained 2 officers, Metz and Lee.
Feb 22-March 3 Jamestown, R.I. Loaded navy CBs
March 6-March 9 Norfolk Took on LCT 1145, Lt.Kuppers---enroute to Canal Zone.
March 18-19 Coco Solo, Canal Zone Transited Panama Canal during night, Atlantic to Pacific.
April 1-3 Port Hueneme Discharged navy CB cargo.
April 9-16 Seattle Loaded army airfield construction equipment and personnel.

Nov 17-19 Tsingtao, China Took on 999 Japanese Naval Air Corps repatriates for return to Japan.

Nov 27-Dec12 Tsingtao, China Took on 998 Japanese civilian repatriates.
Dec 16-17 Kagoshima, Japan Discharged repatriates.
Dec 21-Jan 18 Okinawa Buckner Bay/Chimu Wan/ Hagushi. Alternating beached, anchored. Loaded 3rd Special Constr. Bn. unit.

1946

Jan 2 Chimu Wan, Okinawa Beached at Chin Wan, adjacent LCT caught fire, destroyed by explosion. Fire ignited on 920, some buckling and denting of hull and frames. Ens. Lehrer injured, transferred for further medical care.
Jan 22-30 Tsingtao, China Unloaded cargo. In departing for Okinawa, with tank deck cargo and CB passengers, found port shaft bent, returned to Tsingtao for repair.
Jan 31-Feb 9 Tsingtao Shaft repairs.
Feb 13-27 Okinawa Took on Marine rolling stock.
Feb 22 Okinawa Lt.(jg) John B. Davis relieved Lt. Harry N. Schultz as Commanding Officer.
Feb 23 Okinawa Took aboard LCT 1223, with Ens. Norman Williams.
Feb 27 Okinawa Departed for Guam.
March 1 enroute to Guam. Evening, change of orders, proceed to Iwo Jima.
March 3-4 Iwo Jima Took on army personnel for Saipan, 920 to return to U.S.
March 7 Saipan Unload army personnel.
March 8-13 Guam March 9, beached, unloaded Marine rolling stock.
March 14 Tinian Took on army trucks, depart for Pearl Harbor.
March 31-April 6 Pearl Harbor  
April 6 Pearl Harbor Depart for San Francisco.
April 15 San Francisco Various anchorages and moorings to remove ammunition, armaments, stores and fuel. To Hunters Point to remove LCT 1223. To Benicia to unload tank deck cargo of army trucks.
April 18 San Francisco Lt.(jg) D.E. Reed relieved Lt.(jg) Davis as C.O..
July 8 San Francisco Decommissioned at Hunters Point, San Francisco. Moved for storage in reserve fleet in Suisun Bay, San Francisco, for further disposition.
