WHERE ARE THEY NOW???

"Missy" Carol Ferrante Raspberry - Vocals and piano - Carol was a road warrior during the height of The Highsteppers recording and touring days. Since then she's pursued other career avenues including Motherhood and several different areas of expertise in the medical field. No, she's not a doctor or nurse except to the Raspberry herd. Yes, she married Larry. It was self-defense. He married her first -- right in front of everybody.

Joe Mulherin - Trumpet - The last time we heard from Joe he was playing trumpet in the Bruce Willis Band. When he isn't working with Bruce, Joe uses his skills in video production to produce and direct various video projects in Memphis and elsewhere. He played with Larry in 1995. Unfortunately, his hectic schedule has prevented having him in the band since that time.

Jerry McKinney - Sax - Jerry is the moving target of The Highsteppers. He was last seen working at The Rum Boogie Club on Beale Street in Memphis with one of the regular bands. However, efforts to reach him have not yielded a rapid response. If you're out there, Jerry, give us a call. Jerry did a long stint with Elvin Bishop in the '70's after leaving The Highsteppers and he was also the sax player for Hank Williams Jr. for years. He last played in The Highsteppers for some tour dates in Arkansas in the Summer of 1996.

Bill "Tadpole" Marshall - Bill was one ( if not THE) youngest members of The Highsteppers. Thus the name "Tadpole". He wasn't a frog yet. Bill also played with Hank Williams Jr. for many years after leaving the Highsteppers. He is still the drummer for The Bama Band with whom Bill played on several CDs. Bill also drums with Jimmy Jamison, the lead singer for Survivor. Bill joined Larry as the drummer for the Highsteppers on stage in Memphis in 1993.

Greg "Fingers" Taylor - Harmonica and piano and vocals - Fingers Taylor, the harpoon man, is probably by far the most visible alumni of The Highsteppers. Way back when Larry and Fingers met in the '70's, Fingers was already the band of choice for Jimmy Buffett. As the original Coral Reefer, Fingers played with Larry and The Highsteppers while Jimmy perfected his songs and style into a recording career that allowed him to start assembling his band -- one player at the time. Needless to say, Fingers was Jimmy's first phone call. Just as Fingers' presence with Jimmy Buffett is a given, so too is his return to the stage with Larry and The Highsteppers. He joined the band for a big revue at The Opryland Hotel for a private client in May of 1997. Fingers also has his own recording career as one of the best Harmonica players of the day. We think he's unsurpassed. If you haven't heard Fingers outside of the confines of Jimmy Buffett and Larry Raspberry music, then you really only know a small part of the very broad musical styles embodied by this very hard-working musician and blues enthusiast.

"Rocky" Berretta - Bass - We lost touch with Rocky for a while. However, he found us through the website and now we're back on track with him. He still plays bass and he's gearing up this year to do some playing and producing for his former bride Samm Parker. Larry's trying to get some "snappy new tunes" together for the sessions. Good luck Rocky and Samm.
