Article I: Term of Office
The term of office for all duly elected officers shall coincide with the calendar year following their election; such elections to take place during regular business meeting held in October, if feasible. In the event it is not reasonably possible to do so at that time, then the election must be concluded during the regular business meeting held in November.
Article II: Dues
Membership dues shall be determined annually on the basis of prior year expenses and needs for future capital expenditures. Dues are payable each calendar year and may be prorated to the end of the year at the rate of one twelfth the annual rate per calendar month.
Article III: Business Address
The official business address of this association for correspondence purposes shall be that of its currently residing secretary. [note - since obtaining a P.O. Box the LRA uses that as its unofficial business address].
Article IV: Meetings
Regular business meetings shall be held once a month on the first Saturday of the month at nine (9) A.M. local time at a designated location. Special business meetings may be called by any of the association officers as necessary and at their discretion.
Article V: Station License
A station licensee shall be selected by the officers from available volunteers and will be supported by the full membership in striving for the legal operation of the repeater(s). [note - it is recommended that the call sign of the president be used during his term of office].
Article VI: Budget
Association funds shall be available for the purchase of equipment and meeting operational expenses within the guidelines of the accepted yearly budget.
Article VII: Amendments
These bylaws may be amended as necessary following the procedures established in Article VII of the L.R.A. Constitution.
