BRAIN FOOD!

When seeking foods that stimulate the brain. THINK PROTEIN. Neurotransmitters such as epinephrine and norepinephrine, are made from the amino acids, phenylalanine and tyrosine. Melatonin and serotonin are made from the amino acid, tryptophan. Eating complete amino acid proteins will produce brain food for your body.

It is true that a fatty meal impedes thinking for a while. But fat is not bad for you if your system can metabolize it. The myelin sheaths that protect nerve tissue from damage are made of fat, yes, unpopular cholesterol and the hormones that keep us young have one precursor: cholesterol. The human brain is composed mostly of fat. Do you really want to eliminate ALL fat, fat soluble vitamins, fat soluble anti-oxidants, essential fatty acids, and a variety of other fat soluble nutrients, that we are JUST NOW identifying, from your body?

I think not. Not when FAT creates the myelin links that make you think? It is also delightfully true that amino acid foods make the brain synapses leap faster. The whole electrical apparatus in the brain hums when aminos are there in bloodstream. The thing that impedes them is FAT. Put fat in bloodstream the whole machine cranks to a stop for a while.
