In days bygone

In days bygone a merchant had buried

his most precious pearl

deep inside a garden, where

the sunlight piercing the darkness

had never reached,

nor had autumn leaves ever fallen.

My desire to possess you sparkles

within me day and night

just like that pearl and I wonder

who gave me this unique boldness

to cherish your exquisite beauty.
